some call it backwards. he calls it progress.

Trained as an editor ('02) and a film critic ('09), Mike built the largest university television network in Canada as a student EP (BrockTV '07-'11). He then created a $10k student film grant (‘09) and co-founded a film festival (Render This FF, ‘10), all before relocating back to Toronto in 2011. He went on to produce & edit a trilogy of feature-length Canadian music documentaries ('12-'14), and shot a fourth during the pandemic (‘21). After working in content creation for tech (‘11), weddings (‘12-13), and news (‘14-’17), Mike’s own production company, Last Frame Pictures, became a full-time pursuit by 2017.

By now, his commercial works include spots for Microsoft, Visa, RBC, Lexus, Adidas, & Tim Hortons.

He’s crafted music videos for Warner Music & Universal, and his narrative works have been showcased in LA, Venice, Austin, Toronto, & Berlin, among other global markets. Two more features are also expected in 2025.

In addition to filmmaking, Mike also enjoys shooting portrait photography, exploring cities, and finding the perfect cup of coffee.
